Before and After Lamp!

So before Skylar and I got married, he had this old green lamp on his desk! I decided it was time for a lamp makeover! :)

I went to Home Depot and bought spray paint for $5, printed out some photos, grabbed my modge podge and this is the end result!

New Beginnings

So I have decided something!! I am going to buy or find old junky desks, small furniture, or home decor. I will then paint it, redecorate it, and refurbish it! I will then sell these products on facebook, craigslist, and etsy for profit! I will also take personalized orders from any and all who want furniture reupholstered, lamps repainted, etc so accomodate their needs! What do you all think? :)

The AZ Terrarium

Having been recently inspired by my visit to Chicago and seeing an amazing mossy terrarium in an apothecary jar, I began to wonder how easy it would be for someone like me (who manages to kill anything green, including cactus which is supposed to be ruthless) to make one of my own! Turn out, it is way easy! I decided that since moss does not grow in Arizona, I would make my terrarium more Arizona like! I purchased a nice succulent for $3, bought "Moisture-Control" planting soil from the Home Depot for $5 and gathered river rocks and stones from my apartment complex! I then added the stones and rocks, put in about 2 cups of planting soil, added in my terrarium, and threw in some old rocks I collected from beaches Sky & I traveled to, and here is the result! Besides the cost of the apothecary jar (which was a wedding gift), this whole terrarium costed under $10! Here it is! Sorry if the picture is not very quality.

A Modge Podged Trunk

So when I was in Berkley a few summers ago with Sky I came across an old gorgeous trunk like the one in the picture, except black!

I had always wanted to get an old trunk and put old pictures on it and put it at the foot of my bed! Finally I found my perfect trunk :) Next I bought Modge Podge for $7 at Michaels and gathered my old pictures and postcards from world travels. I then attached the pictures and voila!
